She just doesn’t have “it” so to speak. At least, not to compete on a Presidential level.
She isn’t remarkable or charismatic, she doesn’t have any big bold ideas, and frankly she has a similar problem that Hillary had: a lot of people feel as tho she comes off pretentious and condescending at best and bitchy at worst. Granted, this is in part due to sexism but it also isn’t entirely unfounded as she can certainly come off as cold and pretentious at inappropriate times.
If Biden runs again in 2024, and I think he should-especially if Trump runs again; I think it’s important that he shake things up and picks a new VP. Certainly in the modern era this would be a tad bit strange but it was something that was done fairly often just 60-70 years ago.
As for who he should choose; well, that is gonna depend on what the political climate is at that time and who is available. I personally think there’s no way he could go wrong selecting Stacy Abrams as his 24 running mate should see lose the GA governors race that’s coming up.
Abrams checks many of the same boxes that Kamala does demographically, while also being much more personable and politically gifted. Even tho she would be coming off a second loss in the Governors race, I doubt many would view her as a “loser” especially if the race is close. And besides, how closely does the avg voter pay attention to races outside their state anyway? Also, her charisma and energy would be a welcome compliment to Bidens personality in ways that Harris never has been.
Besides Harris, there are a few others I’d like to see step into the position: Tammy Duckworth (like her style), Gavin Newsome (a good springboard to the Presidency), Val Demings (only if she loses the senate race obv), Liz Warren (progressive firebrand tho she may be a bit too old), John Fetterman (great blue collar style Dem could appeal to working class and rust belt voters), John Edwards (LOL just kidding-could you imagine?!).
