Thank you for your query.
Please provide us with the following Information to troubleshoot the encountered issue:
- Decribe the issue you have with the SSD in details
- Are you able to access, write and boot from the SSD?
- SMART Report of the SSD, which can be readout using Kingston SSD Manager (www.kingston.com/ssdmanager)
- Do you get any error messages?
We are looking forward for your reply.

So I try to make this as detailed as possible:
This SSD (Kingston 480GB ssdNOW kc300) have been working really well for around 8-9 month (since I take it for my use).
Then 24.12.2016 at morning from around 08am to 10am or so it worked again normally, nothing special in it.
I logged out (windows 10) from my computer and shut it down. Went eating christmas food in another house and when I get back around 15 or 16pm and tried to start my computer this SSD drive was not find anymore. Day were still 24.12.2016
I went to UEFI and check, SSD-drive was not detected.
I open up side from my case ( fractal design define r2 ) and tried to switch another SATA cable.
I went to UEFI and check; SSD-drive was not detected.
I tried for another SATA place.
I went to UEFI and check, SSD-drive was not detected.
I tried for another power cable
I went to UEFI and check, SSD-drive was not detected.
I checked my motherboard manual ( Asrock Z77 Extreme4 ) and made sure it was SATA3 port, switched it to another and again, UEFI did not find that SSD drive.
I take SATA and power cable out from this 480GB SSD-drive and put them for my older Kingston 256GB SSD drive (with windows 7 I had used before take this 480GB SSD ) went for UEFI and it did found, also work out just normally (had to update plenty of windows updates but anyway)
I went and take out my USB2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable tester (like this one:
USB2.0 to SATA and IDE Bridge Converter for S-ATA and ATA IDE HDD ) and this 480GB SSD drive did not found in my windows 7 Disk Management.
I went for another room and started my gf computer.
I tried there with my USB2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable tester and this 480GB SSD drive did not find in my windows 7 Disk Management.
So I take another (normal) HD and put it in my USB2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable tester. That worked out OK.
So I have tested USB2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable tester, SATA cable, Power cable, used 2 different computer and neither of them can find (in uefi or in windows 7 Disk Management) this SSD drive. No matter what SATA port / cable / power cable / USB2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable testerI try to use.
Because this SSD drive do not find in UEFI / Windows I am not able to use any startup / windows software to try and fix this problem.
If you can give me link for CD/USBdrive boot-image what (hopefully) can check and SATA-ports with drives in them for SSD drive and look they condition (why they do not show up in UEFI (system what came up after BIOS) or windows I am not really able to try / do much.
I have waited for day (and even more) before tried again with USB2.0 to IDE & SATA Cable tester but for some reason this SSD drive just do not show up. IF there is engine (like in regular HD drive have) can it malfunction or so? Because I can not guess another reason.
- Are you able to access write and boot from the SSD?
No, whatever I try to do computer do NOT find SSD drive, so I can not boot my windows 10 (it was system drive) and I am not able to access this SSD drive through computer.
I have physically taken it off from my computer and I can turn it around, look any numbers / writing and so on from it.
- SMART Report of the SSD
I do not know how to do it because SSD do not detect in computer.
- Do you get any error messages?
Only when I try to use this SSD drive as boot drive for my windows 10, then I get:
Normal one's: boot disk can not be found and so on.
