i have a dq67sw intel motherboard, and this SSD caused crippling performance problems for windows, games, and chrome, which i thought was an issue with windows 10. my pc would boot very fast, and transferred files with the reported read/write rates, but the cursor would regularly freeze, chrome would be very sluggish with youtube videos lagging like crazy, and games have terrible performance despite my gtx 1050ti.
i spent half of my christmas weekend troubleshooting this thing before giving up, requesting a refund through amazon, and buying a western digital blue 500GB SSD from my local walmart instead to see if it was a problem with just this thing, or with all SSDs paired with my mobo. my current windows install on the western digital blue is currently performing perfectly fine without any of the performance issues i experienced with the samsung 860 evo.

I had almost one year "10 months" of flawed, failing drive issues. I assumed they were windows 10 issues, etc and tried to fix them, doing firmware upgrades on the drive, as they became available, to no avail. The drive was constantly losing the MBR boot record, causing me to have to reboot the machine three or more times, before it would get me into Windows.
I contacted and sent the drive in to Samsung. Five year warranty, I told myself, as I had to buy a new SSD drive to get my machine up and running, before sending this drive in for service.
Two weeks later, I get the drive back, with a letter saying they updated the firmware...

It installed easily and ran for a couple days then....blue screen of death and I lost all data. Could not even boot to safe mode. Since it is very unlikely that the hardware failed (no moving parts - solid state) it probably has a bug in the program that is on the controller inside the device that trashed the file allocation table making all data unreadable. Replace with Western Digital Flash drive and it has worked well for a few months now.

Onpa tuon kommenteissa vielä tällainenkin:
Mine did not work. Tried to do a one star review and got the following: "This product currently has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity." What gives Amazon?
I've had nothing but problems with this disk. It has crashed several times and each time I've had to reformat it but nothing works. It's totally unreliable. I bought it because it was cheaper that other Samsung models with this capacity. Now I know why.
