Minkälaisilla graffa-asetuksilla tällänen 35fps tulee?
High presetillä.
My impressions of the first beta release:
Note I have been part of the alpha program from Feb 2020.
My PC: Intel i7-9700K, 32GB system ram, 1080Ti graphics card, running mostly ULTRA settings.
The Good:
The Bad:
- Steady frame-rate 25-35 FPS (but many more pauses in flight)
- the terrain graphic textures are now sharper and the autogen for houses look more varied and have a nicer variation in street and road textures - nice!
- the tiling effect on terrain is now gone - great job as they were annoying
- new cirrus clouds look great
- more planes…
I live in the city of Melbourne, Australia and basically many autogen and terrain rendering issues abound everywhere - so much so the city is only an approximation at best and a mess that needs major rework at worst. Key points:
The Ugly:
- Trees are still 300-400 foot high in many places. Basically my home city is Lothlorian from Lord of the Rings in some areas - also we have a widespread outbreak of Palm trees everywhere???
- Night lighting - Balls of light suspended 100 feet in the air all over the place need to be dropped down to street-light level of 40-50 feet or less - just reminds me of the FSX lights of old and filler for the lighting. Needs major tweaking
- Missing major landmarks like the West gate bridge - which should there because they are on Bing maps but completely missing?
- There is this 4 mile high spire of a skyscraper between the main city airport (YMML) and the city centre - as a consequence the world’s largest building is now in Melbourne, Australia
- Yarra river running through the city has some odd spots where elevated walls of water raise above street level into the city buildings - weird!
- There is a large cruise liner parked on the Yarra river and wedged between city buildings - completely immersion breaking
(Preface - This is only my opinion)
- This flight sim needs another 3-6 months in the oven before it is ready - it needs a lot of work to get it release ready and the team needs to be given more time to address the issues properly.
- Another month in beta wont fix the issues I have identified, plus the many other items listed by others in the thread re: flight models, ATC, weather and overall sim functionality.
- It is clear to me commercial pressures within MS are pushing this out of the door before the normal end of year games release schedule of Sept-Nov and ahead of the release of its new console this year.
