Ivermectin did not show a statistically significant effect on survival (RR, 0.90; 95% CI, 0.57 to 1.42;
P = .66) (
Figure 1I) or hospitalizations (RR, 0.63; 95% CI, 0.36 to 1.11;
P = .11) (
Figure 1H). Ivermectin displayed a borderline significant effect on the duration of hospitalization in comparison with SOC (mean difference, –1.14 days; 95% CI, –2.27 to –0.00;
P = .05) (
Figure 1G). There was no significant effect on time to clinical recovery (mean difference, –0.57 days; 95% CI, –1.31 to 0.17;
P = .13) (
Figure 1E). Ivermectin showed a significant effect in achieving viral clearance more quickly compared with SOC. However, no significant effect was observed on PCR negativity at days 3, 7, and 10. Ivermectin did not have a significant effect on the risk of mechanical ventilation.
