I could use some help if anyones bored. I recently went to Best Buy and originally was leaning towards a Samsung QN90A, then I saw the OLEDs and was blown away (The Sonys in particular). Fast forward to this week, I got the 77” A80J and am sort of on the fence with keeping it. I don’t want to turn this into an OLED vs. QLED battle or anything. I’m just trying to figure out if I should exchange it for a QLED.
There’s something about the A80J that is missing that “Wow” factor that I had in the store. I can’t really put my finger on it but it’s missing that “pop”, if that makes any sense. I’ve always had LED TVs and this was my first OLED. Maybe it’s the brightness that most people mention?
Like, right now, I’m watching The Kitchen on the Food Network and it looks really good but the other night watching sports it just did not look good. Watching hockey, whenever they did a close up of players on the bench or something it looks amazing, but when it’s the gameplay camera, the ice looks weird like different colors on the ice.
Then last night watching basketball, same thing. When the camera would zoom in on a player at the free throw line it looked great. Then the gameplay camera comes and it looks awful. The top part of the basketball court has a greenish hue and the bottom half is more pink/red. I’ve tried a bunch of different settings and nothing. I’ll post some images at the end.
Maybe I’m just used to the LEDs? So I’m wondering if I should exchange it and pick up the 75” X95K.
