Myyntiin ylimääräiseksi jäänyt HP Microserver Gen8. Xeon E3-1260L prosessorilla (4c/8t), 12GB ECC RAM, 4x 4TB Toshiba N300 levyt + 480GB PNY CS900 SSD.

Ostin tähän aikanaan 2x 8GB kalikoita ebaystä, mutta toinen niistä osoittautui vialliseksi enkä koskaan tullut hankkineeksi uutta kun 12GB riitti omiin tarpeisiin mainiosti. Koostuu siis nykyisellään 8GB+4GB tikuista. 16GB on tuettu maksimi, jos tuon haluaa päivitellä. Itsellä pyörinyt levyt AHCI moodissa, Linux käyttis SSD:llä ja HDD:t ZFS poolissa. Ei vaadi kummempia toimenpiteitä näin ajettuna ja SSD:ltä voi bootata normaalisti. Jos kelkkojen levyjä haluaa ajaa integroidulla raidiohjaimella raidissa, niin muistaakseni viidenneltä levyltä ei pysty suoraan bootata, tuo kun on käytännössä CD-asemalle varatussa liittimessä kiinni. Emolevyltä löytyy suoraan myös USB-portti, sekä MicroSD muistikorttipaikka.

Koneesta löytyy 2x 1GB ethernet, sekä iLO4 etähallinnalle oma etskuportti. Lisäksi PCI-E verkkokortti yhdellä 1GB ethernet liittimellä. Tähän voi vaihtaa tilalle vaikka näytönohjaimen halutessaan.

Mainio pikkuserveri hyvillä ominaisuuksilla esimerkiksi NAS käyttöön.

Koitetaan ensin löytyykö tälle noutajaa Järvenpäästä. Levyjen vuoksi en mielellään postita, mutta sitäkin voin harkita jos ei ostajaa muuten tunnu löytyvän. Pakkaan toki asianmukaisesti, mutta levyt saa jäädä kelkkoihinsa ja ostajan vastuulla jos ne vahingoittuu postin käsittelyssä. Alta löytyy kuvat, sekä levyjen SMART tiedot.
