Just watched a video from
NickTew where he went over another build version of quill volley and with all the new discoveries/bugs etc. people are starting to hit for over 100 Trillion damage. And appearantly it can go even as high as 200 trillion+.
Just to put this into perspective: Many A or even S tier builds from other classes hit for roughly 1 billion which is considered decent. A top geared minion necro, which got a HUGE buff this season due to the Mendeln ring change, can hit for roughly for 500mil, maybe can be pushed to 1 bil by going full glass cannon.
Just an example to showcase in what kind of dimensions we are currently:
Lets say both builds have 1 attackspeed/s. The target has 500 Trillion HP.
- a spiritborn needs 5 seconds to kill the target.
- a 1 bil/s dps build needs 5 days and 19 hours of non stop DPS
- now lets say you do 10 times the dmg, so 10 bil DPS. just for science. That would still take you almost 14 hours.
On top of that you are basically invincible even without res capping in pit 150s due to blockcap for fun, perma shield, buttloads of hp, etc. and have insane mobility along with it.
I know balancing a new class, or even classes in general, isnt easy but holy god did they fuck it up it with spiritborn.
And if people say "why do u care how much dmg another class does?" This is an ARPG, a game thats all about grinding content repeatedly. And if you do something over and over while doing 0.001% (not an exaggeration btw) of the dmg from another class, with the same level of gear it just feels silly. I think thats not a hard concept to grasp.
I will say, that I think spiritborn is overall a very well designed class in terms of variety, fun and "feel". I enjoy playing it myself and I wish other classes would get a similar touch up soon. But numberwise its a comical blunder.
