Other things to note :
I decided to sell my Abyss Diana Phi, which I purchased from AliExpress sometime in 2022.

I'm not sure whether this pair is from the original batch, a pre-production unit, or a refurbished one, but at that price, it didn't matter to me.
A brand new pair from their store currently costs around €4000.
There are plenty of reviews online praising their sound quality.
Since they arrived without a "proper box" from AliExpress and at a discount, I assume they might be a refurbished unit.
However, rest assured, they are not faulty--everything works perfectly fine. I also replaced the pads with a higher-quality set than the original ones (not sure if I'll be able to find the old ones to include as well).

These headphones are exceptionally detailed, fast, and tonally neutral for the most part, with a slight emphasis on the mid-high range, making them a fantastic choice for critical listening. However, they do require a high-quality audio chain to truly shine--ideally, a very powerful (preferably tube, probably) amplifier for the best sonic performance. They probably won't pair well with a cheap amp or a source that leans towards a bright sound signature.

My Topping A90 works well, but I've heard them sound much better (mainly in terms of "body" of the sound, note weight, and low-end) on a custom DIY $1500 amp that my friend has.

That said, the highs are not problematic--they don't produce sibilance or become harsh or fatiguing during extended listening. It's just that my setup is too clinical and not a good pairing with neutral/bright-leaning headphones. Additionally, I prefer a 'dark' sound signature (this is actually the reason I'm selling them--bad pairing with the A90 and my preferences).

If you're a bass enthusiast looking for a large amount of very deep, heavy low-end, these may not be the perfect fit. Due to their open-back nature, they won't hit your head 'like a hammer' with bass or its amount. The bass is good enough to accompany the rest of the music and show itself where needed, but it's not extra deep or abundant.

Important: I will NOT sell these if your intention is to Resell them at a higher price. If you decide to sell them later, you MUST disclose their origin and the amplifier requirements to any potential buyer to avoid confusion.

You're welcome to test them in any way you want before purchasing, but returns will not be accepted if you're unable to drive them properly due to an insufficient amplifier or similar issues (they will not work with iPhones or built-in audio solutions, such as a 3.5mm laptop output, for example).

TL;DR: These are great headphones and offer a lot of value, especially for the price in comparison to other Abyss headphones, but you need a high-quality audio chain and amplifier for them to truly shine.
Sure, they'll still work with a cheaper chain, just don't expect miracles from low-end gear.

PS It is possible to purchase them from nearby locations; there is a chance I might find some time to deliver them. Also, I am planning to move to Kotka, so I might sell them there.

PPS They are pretty clampy headphones. All Abyss headphones are, not just my unit. Also, I'm sure their cable is a balanced 4.4mm one, not 6.3mm or 3.5mm.

Location (also indicated in the title and tag) : Imatra (or nearby areas)

Payment method : Preferably in person

Be aware that these Chinese Abyss headphones from Taobao and Aliexpress are very likely reverse engineered copies/fakes/counterfeits (altough quite nice), as they were sold in high numbers and the real ones are made in the USA. Still, they are probably good headphones as mentioned here and on Reddit, for instance. I even considered buying one myself to see how they sound.

There is a possibility that this is true, but I cannot prove or disprove it. I can only warn potential buyers about their origin (which I have done) and hope the buyer is a reasonable person as well. If someone nearby has "100% original from the US" Dianas, we could arrange a comparison, if they’re interested--just for the sake of curiosity.

Honestly, they don’t sound bad, which is why I doubt they’re simple cash grabs. They might even be preproduction or refurbished units--the seller only had a few in stock when I bought them, and they were gone shortly after.

Anyway, some people say they sound identical, while others rate them at 90–95% as good. For this price (especially in comparison), I think they’re a very good option to consider. I’m also selling them at a slight loss--so I doubt there will be a cheaper way to experience this model and Abyss’s signature sound in general. They’re also in pretty much like-new condition.

I’m planning to buy an electrostatic setup in the future, so investing in another good amp for planars to pair well with their sound isn’t an ideal option for me. Given their neutral-bright sound signature (which is not ideal for my liking, quite the opposite), I’d rather not keep another pair of headphones gathering dust on the shelf--just for the sake of owning ‘one more pair of expensive headphones.’ :D

Forgot to mention that I may consider trading them for Arya Organic with extra payment if anybody is interested.
Judging by the reviews, they might work well after some modifications or EQ tuning, although they’ll probably still have the same bright-ish sound… most likely a sidegrade, but oh well, at least they’re much easier to drive.
