With midsummer holidays kicking in, we finally had a chance to catch our breath and reflect on how far we have come since launching discandooo in January, setting out to create the first European Online Discounter for everyday products. We made lots of customers happy, and learned even more from those we let down (sorry, we will be better next time).

Summer Pricing: With 90% of Scandinavia (and any suppliers servicing the region) shutting down after midsummer for multiple weeks, we had 2 options: (A) shut down as well and go on holiday, or (B)
increase some of our prices (mainly for beverages) temporarily and continue serving you throughout summer. We choose (B)!
We'll set prices back to normal after summer break.
Shipping Options: The single biggest challenge for our business (and pain-point for you) is shipping. One of our key focus for summer is linking up with better independent shipping partners, incl.

Flash Sales: We alway planned to raise awareness of the wasteful "consumer goods" market in Europe as part of our concept. We have started experimenting with "
Flash Sales" and "
Mystery Boxes" to offer overstocks or special editions in an attractive way (these deals are fantastic, trust me)!
